KINGMAN — A Lake Havasu City man accused of killing another man in a late-night brawl pleaded guilty Thursday to manslaughter.
Alldredge would have faced between 10 and 22 years in prison had he been convicted of second-degree murder. He will be sentenced May 1.
Alldredge said little during the 15-minute hearing, answering a series of Judge Robert Moon’s questions by saying, “Yes, your honor.” His hands were cuffed to his waist, his ankles were shackled, and he wore orange jail scrubs.
Alldredge is accused of shooting Shawn Keenan, 29, on July 13 in an alley outside of Chili Charlie's restaurant. Police said the shooting happened at about 11:15 p.m. after the restaurant was closed.
Witnesses told police Alldredge pulled a Glock .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun out of his pocket and fired at Keenan four times, hitting him twice in the chest. Alldredge has claimed that Keenan tried to punch him, saying the shooting was in self-defense.
Police arrested Alldredge later that night in the 2100 block of Holly Avenue, reportedly loading luggage into his car.
