Couple charged with arson
A Lake Havasu City couple has been charged with arson in relation to a fire at their Tolteca Drive duplex early Jan. 31.
Ginger Faubus, 38, and Jonathan Faubus, 42, were both charged with one count of arson of an occupied structure, April 25 in Lake Havasu City Consolidated Court. Jonathan Faubus was also charged with one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices. At the time of the fire, Lake Havasu City police believed it was the result of a Molotov cocktail being thrown into the house. The fire was extinguished by automatic fire sprinklers and no one was injured. The couple's four children were in the house at the time. According to police Lt. Rich Sloma, a joint investigation by police and Lake Havasu City Fire Department arson investigators concluded the fire actually started inside the house. Sloma said the couple also attempted to defraud their insurance company by submitting false claims for lost property, either by making claims for property that wasn't damaged or by inflating the value of damaged items. Jonathan Faubus, who is listed as disabled, and Ginger Faubus, an unemployed phlebotomist, were reportedly living on Arapaho Drive at the time of their arrest April 23. In March 2002, Jonathan Faubus was found guilty of forgery in Mohave County Superior Court. You may contact the reporter at dparker@havasunews.com. Article Rating

That should be attempted murder, child endangerment and conspiracy.
Hopefully they will be put away for a long time.
