Havasu man wins Victorville triathlon

Lake Havasu City’s Dan Kuch won the 5th Annual Spring Lake Triathlon in Victorville, Calif. Saturday, in an unofficial time of 1:06:00.

The course had racers swim one-half mile out and back in Spring Lake, bike 14 miles over the rolling hills surrounding the Spring Valley Lake Golf Course and a 5k run around the lake.

The win continues Kuch’s streak of distance running victories. He won the inaugural Havasu Half Marathon in April, the Whiskey Row Marathon in Prescott in May, the 50-mile Running with the Devil Marathon in Boulder City, Nev. in June, and the Mountain Man half triathlon in Flagstaff in July.
