Powerboat regatta coming to Parker

The 2009 American Powerboat Racing Association season gets underway with the 62nd Annual Thanksgiving Regatta on a 1.25-mile oval course on Lake Moovalya at the Bluewater Resort & Casino in Parker.


The race will feature 14 classes of the fastest sprint boats, both Inboard and Outboard in the nation. Classes set to race for the historic event are: Round 1 for the Grand National Racing Association Series, Round 1 for the Western Pro Stock Racing Series, Cracker Boxes, Super Stocks, K Racing Runabouts, Comp Jet class, Nostalgia Flat & Endurance and Jet, SST-120 Tunnel Boats, SST-45's, PWR and the limited Stock Outboard Hydroplane classes.

The Thanksgiving Regatta starts Nov. 28 at 9 a.m. and should last until approximately 4:30 p.m. each day.

Admission is free, parking is available in the casino parking lot.
