John Joseph Mineghino
Nov. 2, 1937 – Nov. 19, 2008

John Joseph Mineghino, 71, passed away Wednesday. He was born Nov. 2, 1937, to Carmine and Sylvia (Bridgman) Mineghino in San Pedro, Calif..

He attended Whittier College majoring in business. From 1959 to 1965, John was a member of the San Pedro 20/30 Club and he owned a wholesale fish market, Independent Fish Company. John enjoyed his retirement staying busy going dove hunting and his favorite passion, dirt bike riding. He enjoyed his girls at Lake Hills Inn during his final days.

John leaves behind his beloved wife, Sharon Mineghino, of Lake Havasu City; son, Jeffery Anthony Mineghino; two daughters, Joy Adair Mineghino and Julie Peat; sister, Dee Dee (Bud) Meliota, all of San Pedro, CAlif.; five grandchildren, Juliette Peat, Aubry Mineghino, Akrivi Tzavaras, Mia Mineghino and Costa Tzavarus and nephews, Danny and Kenny Meliota.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., at Green Hills Memorial Park in Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif. Words of comfort and inspiration will be presented by Pastor Danny Hudson.

Contributions may be made in John’s name to The National Coalition for Heart & Stroke Research, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
