About 600 rainbow trout arrived in Lake Havasu City Wednesday afternoon for the annual Little Delbert Days event on Saturday at SARA Park, presented by the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department.

An Arizona Game and Fish truck brought in the trout from the Page Springs Hatchery in Cornville, south of Sedona.

The fish, weighing from three-quarters to 1 1/4 pounds, and measuring 10 to 15 inches long, were transferred, net-full-by-net-full, to four metal troughs, each holding 500 gallons of water from Lake Havasu.

The water in each tank was checked by Hatchery Manager Gene Okamoto to make sure the rainbow trout would survive through Saturday. The tanks will stand in as fishing ponds during Little Delbert Days, which will set up in the Havasu 95 Speedway area at SARA Park.
