" I am so tired of hearing one party bash the other. Our current financial position in this country is the fault of both parties, not "Bush", not the democrats, not the republicans. It was greed, plain and simple. As far as the deficit left by Bush, does anyone consider the financial impact left by 9/11, the two wars, hurricain Katrina?
Currently there are too many changes happening too fast. Add these constant changes and constant daily stress to the current financial crisis and you have fear and insecurity. People need to work together and stop dividing the country more than it already is. "

I am far from being a liberal; for that matter, I have not been a voting Democrat since I was first eligible to vote(decades ago). All I am saying is if you are protesting what is going on now (I don't agree with it either), to so. Just leave out the rhetoric about Obama's citizenship, racial make-up, etc. because it does not matter now. He is elected and until, if and only if, he is impeached. there is not to do about it. Let's just work to make sure he and Congress is doing the correct things for AMERICA. America should be placed first before Iran, North Korea, China, etc. Because if we do not take care of ourselves now, who knows what or where we may be in the future. Chinica, Meximerica?. I hope this does not sound racist, but Americans have worked hard and some have given the ultimate sacrifice to let us be what we are. We have freedoms that a lot of other countries are envious of. " The 'tea bagging' partys were ill-timed & a bad image for the GOP. When the bailouts started last year, I would have been all for an outside protest. I wrote my congressman, I talked to fellow voters...most were against the bailouts. What else can you do at that point?
I'm all for free speech but you have to consider the logistics of demonstrating publicly, it carries huge responsibilitys.
The main message behind these events was not clear & concise, it confused a lot of independents, a lot of democrats & quite frankly, a lot of republicans. "

" When you consider that the recall election some years ago resulted in about 12,000 voters and the special school budget vote was close to 10,000 voters; I would say that a turnout of 2,000 for the Tea Party was a very impressive turnout for our Community.

No one is complaining about necessary and controlled spending as some have referenced. If you really believe the Government has been responsible with your tax dollars and the bailouts truly ONLY include monies to stimulate the economy I honestly don't know if you really have been paying attention to what the government has been doing! The Lake Havasu school district has to lay off at least 20 teachers for the upcoming school year. The city has had layoffs and pay cuts. Nobody wants to pay any extra for the sewer expansion. The stimulus package (which Republicans see as more taxes) will help to fix all of this, yet people are still complaining about it.

Somebody please, PLEASE explain how to fix our problems without some government intervention. "

" Thousands? I'd say maybe a Thousand. What's sad is the reaction that 'Democrats were actually there'. It sadly shows the mindset of some people.
I was against a lot of the bailouts myself but the taxes? C'mon, I've been paying taxes my whole life & they've never gone down.
Taxes are what keep this country from falling into an abysmal hole. Sure they're not all spent the way people like.
Personally, I'm for a flat tax across the board, taking an equal percentage from every individual & business entity. For people that don't pay taxes? They should get harsh punishment. For people that choose to live off of the welfare system & not work? They should get a box with with water & rice.
At any rate, there has got to be some middle ground we can all agree on, or at least should be.
Will this happen in my lifetime? No way. For people that hate Obama so much, you should be glad someone like me isn't in office. It could be a lot worse. "
