Luke Christopher Moulton, 29, passed away Friday. He was born on June 6, 1980, in Lake Havasu City, to Timothy K. Moulton and Julie (Sallee) Moulton.

Luke attended Starline Elementary School and later graduated from Desert Tech. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy for three years, where he worked with computers, programming Tomahawk Missiles. Upon his discharge, Luke moved back to Lake Havasu City. He soon decided to follow his father's footsteps and became a firefighter for the Desert Hills Fire Department. In addition to being a fireman, Luke also taught tae kwon do to a group of local children. He was a red belt.

He was always up for the challenge of a new task and he could always be depended on to get the job done right the first time, no matter how big or small it was.

Luke was an avid bowler, winning several trophies and award patches. He loved doing things outdoors, whether it was playing sports or going hiking in the desert or climbing in the mountains.

Luke had a big heart and really loved life and was a joy to be around. His younger stepbrother and sister really looked up to him and were proud of their older brother, “The Fireman.”

Luke will be missed by his family, including his extended family of firefighters and by his many friends.

Luke is survived by his fiancé, Michelle Martin; mother, Julie (Sallee) Moulton (Dean), of Idaho; father, Timothy (Tammy) Moulton, of Lake Havasu city; sisters, Linda Moulton, of Lake Havasu City, Athena Moulton (Phillip), of Colorado; brothers, Jeremiah Moulton, of Idaho; stepsisters, Diana and Ashlie Perrett, of Lake Havasu City; stepbrothers, Bruce Perrett, of Lake Havasu City; Timothy “Yarley” Varley, of Utah; stepmother, Ramona Moulton, of Colorado; grandmother, Ruth Grader, of Lake Havasu City; aunts, Patricia (Jack) Gallagher, of Illinois, Sharon Moulton and Barbara Jones both of Lake Havasu City, Marylou (Steve) Sallee, of California, Peggy (Ray) PaLourde, of California; uncles, Jonathan (Jennifer) Moulton, Terry (Sharon)

and Sean (Christine) Moulton, all of Florida, Michael, of Tennessee, Mark (Mary) Sallee and Tommy (Kim) Sallee, all of California; and lots of nieces and nephews on both sides.

A memorial service will be held at the Desert Hills Fire Department in Desert Hills at 4 p.m. Saturday. A gathering with refreshments will follow the services. Also, join the family to celebrate Luke's life at Steams, 3620 London Bridge Road.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks for donations to be made to the Desert Hills Fire Department, 3983 London Bridge Road, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86404.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.

" I did not know Luke, but if he was a Fireman for Desert Hills Fire Department I know he was special and he will surely be missed. It is such a shame for such a good young person to passaway so young as there are so many bad people that seem to live so long. I would be interested to know what Luke died of that he could not get prper treatment for. I wish all of Luke's Family best wishes and that I am very sorry for thier loss "

" Luke, I was so PROUD of what you accomplished in your short life. At my fire station in Florida I would always brag about you. I only wish that you could have received the proper treatment for what ailed you and you would still be with us. God Bless you.
