Malcolm I. Seguine left this world peacefully June 7. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., to Lillian and Frank Seguine, on Dec. 2, 1925.

Malcolm was a Naval veteran of World War II. He attended Harvard University and subsequently graduated from Brown University, Providence, R.I. His working life was spent mostly in sales. He loved to fly and was a private pilot. Malcolm and his wife Jeanne moved to Lake Havasu City on June 1, 2005, relocating from California.

Malcolm leaves behind Jeanne, his wife of 27 years; four children from a previous marriage, Penelope Palmer (Richard), Carol Seguine, Jennifer Harvey (Erroll Smith), and David Seguine (Wendy). All of Malcolm's daughters live in California, and his son and family reside in Beaufort, S.C. Malcolm also leaves behind many grandchildren, Zachary, Jonathon, Ashley and Joe (mother Jennifer); David, Ian, Heather, and "D.J." (Wendy and David). Malcolm has one great-grandchild, Wyatt (mother Ashley), who he never had a chance to meet. Malcolm's wife Jeanne has three grown children by a previous marriage, Mark Sletto (Mary Anne), Christine Auble (Ralph), and Julie Garland. All of Malcolm's stepchildren reside in Southern California.

In addition to the children, stepchildren, grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Malcolm has two nephews who adored "Uncle Mal"; Donald Silva (Ana), two daughters Jennifer and Stephanie; and Lawrence "Larry" Silva (Daryla), all of San Jose, Calif. Malcolm's sister Marjorie Silva and her husband Arthur Silva both preceded Malcolm in death.

Malcolm will be greatly missed by two longtime friends; his "brother" Renya Attaway, of Lake Havasu City; and "buddy" Robert "Bob" McKewen (Barbara), of La Jolla, Calif. Bob and Malcolm enjoyed a friendship that spanned more than 70 years. They met as children in the Bronx and remained close through all those years.

Malcolm donated his body for scientific research and teaching. Upon the return of his cremated remains, his ashes will be sprinkled at sea between Catalina Island and Newport Beach, Calif., during an on-board memorial attended by family and friends. A date for the memorial will be determined later.

Goodnight, Sweet Prince! We all miss you.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at lakehavasumortury.com.
