Raymond P. Rieve, a loving husband and father, 60 years old, went to be with the Lord Monday. He was born July 26, 1948, to Paul and Doris (Matthews) Rieve in Lansing, Mich.

Ray married his loving wife of 26 years, Darlene, on June 25, 1983. To this union one son, Shaun, was born.

Ray accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He attended First Southern Baptist Church of Lake Havasu City.

Ray spent most of his adult life in southern California before moving his family to Lake Havasu City in 1993. He was then able to move the family business (Graphite Machining Torrance) to Lake Havasu City in 1995. His goal in moving to Lake Havasu City was to have his son go to school and be a part of a smaller community.

He enjoyed boating and jet skiing, participating in Havasu bowling leagues, golfing, baseball (especially the Diamondbacks) and the long hot summers.

Ray is survived by his wife, Darlene and son, Shaun of Lake Havasu City; son, Raymond Rieve, Jr. (Cappie) of North Carolina; daughter, Pamala (Brandon) Rogers of Virginia; brother, Jack Rieve of Washington; sister, Sherry of Idaho; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and mother-in-law Rosie (Bill) Epp. His parents; Paul and Doris Rieve; two brothers, Kieth and Jim Rieve, preceded him in death. Ray had a special relationship with his father-in-law, Conrad Allen, who also preceded him in death.

Memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church, 113 N. Acoma Blvd., Lake Havasu City. Pastor Leroy Smith will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 60000, File #30947, San Francisco, CA 94160.

A private family cremation.

Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
