Helen Gertrude Gallagher, 84, passed away Sept. 14, in her home in Lake Havasu City. Born Nov. 6, 1924, in Saugus, Mass., she survived polio at a young age and spent the rest of her life dancing.

In 1952, Helen moved with her family to California, where she raised her children and had a lengthy career with aerospace. She was preceded in death by her husband (1978), Francis Emmett Gallagher, and later retired to Lake Havasu City.

Known for her huge, beautiful, blue eyes and radiant smile; Helen was passionate about travel and was recognized for her volunteerism with multiple senior programs in the community. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Gallagher Nicholas, and Karin Mary Gallagher; as well as her four grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews who live in all parts of the country.

A celebration of her life will be shared by friends and family at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Havasu City on the day of her birth — Nov. 6, beginning at 10:30 am.
