The Lake Havasu Unified School District governing board is slated to vote on whether or not to repair the track at Thunderbolt Middle School, which is also used by the Lake Havasu High School for track meets.
The governing board’s agenda packet states the track has major holes and bubbling and the last repairs to the track were six years ago.
The governing board will also vote on whether or not to dissolve several clubs at elementary schools because of a lack of participation, including the Reading Club at Starline Elementary School, the Sign Language Club at Nautilus Elementary School, the Tutoring Club at Smoketree Elementary School, and three other clubs at elementary schools. The dissolution would transfer a total of almost $10,000 in tax credits tagged to those clubs to a general tax credit account.
The board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the District Office at 2200 Havasupai Blvd.
