Ellis E. Prouty

Ellis E. Prouty passed away Nov. 1 in Kingman at the age of 92.  Bud, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on Sept. 12, 1917, in Allegan, Mich., to Orson and Mary (Powers) Prouty.


Bud and his wife Nora moved to Lake Havasu City in March 1973, from Allegan, and they both went to work for the McCulloch Corp.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Nora, who passed away on Sept. 28, 2007.  He is survived by his sons, Roger Prouty, of Traverse City, Mich., and Ronald Prouty, of Kalamazoo, Mich.: daughters Cheryl Bakker, of Holland, Mich., and Nancy Fehn, of Mundelein, Ill.; as well as eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

At Bud’s request, there will be no services held.  Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
