Burley A. Simpkins passed away Oct. 27 in Riverside, Calif. He was 71 years old.

Burley and his wife, Pat, moved to Lake Havasu City in 1984. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Wal-Mart in Lake Havasu City for seven years.

Burley is survived by his wife; his son, Murray; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Patsy Spears, of Tempe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Riverside, Calif.

Burley was preceded in death by his son, Dean A. Simpkins.
