George Clement Emery

George Clement Emery, 88, passed away Tuesday in Lake Havasu City. He was born on July 8, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., to George and Amanda (Hillmann) Emery.


George moved to Lake Havasu City 22 years ago from Spooner, Wis., and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a shift manager for Commonwealth Edison in Chicago for 25 years. George was very good in investing and was able to retire at the age of 49. He enjoyed golfing and reading.

George is survived by his sons, John Anderson, of Carson City, Nev., James Anderson, of Woodbury, Minn.; daughters, Susan Anderson, of Lake Havasu City, Karen Hansen, of Boston, Mass.; and granddaughter, Stephanie. George was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Emery.

A memorial service will be at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Lan Blair. Military Honors will be presented by the V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.
