Police searching for suspect linked to early morning stabbing

Lake Havasu City Police area asking local residents to help locate a Havasu man who is a suspect in a stabbing that occurred at 2:10 a.m. Monday outside a bar in the 2100 block of McCulloch Boulevard.



Ramey Villanueva, 23, allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old man several times in the upper torso following a brief verbal altercation outside the bar, according to a press release issued by police.

The victim reportedly stumbled to the area of North McCulloch Boulevard and Querio Drive and was noticed by law enforcement officers.

At that time, the victim was bleeding from multiple stab wounds and was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center and then air-evacuated to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas. He was reportedly in stable condition.

Villanueva reportedly fled the area after the incident.

Villanueva was paroled from Arizona state prison within the last two weeks, according to the press release.

At this time, Villanueva is wanted for questioning in the investigation.

Villanueava is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. Villanueva has a tattoo of the state of Texas on the right side of his neck as well as the word “Texas” tattooed on his left hand.

Police said Villanueva is considered armed and dangerous and is also wanted by state parole officers.
