Georgia Irene Medley
March 12, 1928 – Dec. 27, 2009

Georgia Irene Medley, 81, passed away Dec. 27, at Lake Hills Inn with her daughter by her side. She was born on March 12, 1928, in Hemet, Calif., to Harriet and Charles Tripp.



Georgia and her husband, Donald Medley, moved from California to Lake Havasu City six years ago. She had worked as a legal secretary in California, Ohio and New York for 35 years. Georgia (lrene known to family and friends) enjoyed quilting, sewing, canning and cooking. Irene also believed in strong ties with family and friends. She was a loving devoted mother and grandmother and will remain in our hearts forever.

Irene is survived by her husband, Donald Medley, of Mills City, Ore.; daughter, Maridee (Dave) Ridgway, of Lake Havasu City; son, Charles Fonze, of Lake Havasu City; stepdaughter, Nancy Medley, of California; stepson, Mike (Renada) Medley, of Mills City, Ore.; sister, Leone (Dick) Culy, of Folsom, Calif.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harriet and Charles Tripp; her sisters, Violet Woods and Mary Brown; her brother, Charles Tripp; and her daughter, Marsha Ivie.

The family is so grateful for the angels at Lake Hills Inn, who were there for Georgia and her family.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Georgia’s name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ, 86404.
