Geraldine Mae Beard

Geraldine Mae Beard passed away Jan. 13, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 83. She was born on Jan. 7, 1927, in Enola, Neb., to Olan and Mildred (Tobola) McDonald.

Geraldine moved to Lake Havasu City eight years ago following the death of her husband Harry, to be closer to her sisters, Phyllis and Sharon. Geraldine and Harry lived in Germany and France for several years during his 21 years of service in the military. While living overseas, Geraldine worked in the commissary. They moved back to the states, settling in California, where Geraldine was a long-time member of the South Gate Women’s Club. She also enjoyed making jewelry with beads.

Geraldine is survived by her stepson, Anthony and his wife, Dena Beard, of Bend, Ore.; sisters, Phyllis Rainwater and Sharon Oberlink, of Lake Havasu City; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harry, who passed away in March 2001.

No services are scheduled. Interment will take place at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery with her husband, Harry.
