" winter visitors are nice but anyone involved in development will tell you that homes cost the city money (at best break even) and businesses make the city money as far as taxes go.
I would much rather encourage summer visitors because we have far more business from them if we could only stop the police and court from persecuting (not prosecuting the guilty just leave the innocent alone)
Too bad the channel is nearly empty. I had lunch today at a local pizza place and watched. There are more than last week but not much. "

" LuvinLHC -Pay no mind to pea sized shriveled up brains which have had too much sun. They are the same people that don't like the summer visitors. But now that they are none of them to mess with it is time to move to the snowbirds.
They have no clue the Money us Part time homeowners spend. Remember it is our Second or third home. Disposable Income. We use none if any of the services. Schools, Community Centers, Etc. But we pay the same if not more than full time residents.

I Just ask if you are retired here, or not working, go do your errands during the non-lunch hours. So between 11am to 2pm is restricted please. I guess I am a snowbird, but I really feel that when I am here in LHC I live HERE and when I am in WA, I live there. In the past year I have purchased 3 vehicles, a boat, a home, a spa, a new patio and many other items, all from local retailers.
I paid sales tax on all these and I pay property taxes. We have found a great church and good friends here. I'd like to think we are an addition to the community and we love it here. LHC was here before me and will be here long after me, but , to me, it is my home. So get over it!! "
