Neil P. Hamilton

Neil P. Hamilton was born Feb. 10, 1933, to Joseph J. Hamilton and Catherine (O’Connor) Hamilton, of Schenectady, N.Y. He passed away Feb. 5, in Lake Havasu City after living here for 36 years.



Neil was employed by McCulloch Corp., in quality control for 23 years. He retired in 1996 before moving from Albany, N.Y.; where he was self-employed in the dry cleaning business.

Neil was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church and the New Yorkers of Havasu. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, attending New York Club meetings and Tuesday morning breakfast at IHOP. Neil and his wife were frequent visitors of McDonalds and will be missed by friends and staff.

Neil is survived by his wife, June, of 55 years; daughter, Donna Hamilton, of Riverside, Calif.; sons, Kevin Hamilton, Timothy Hamilton and wife Kelli, all of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Candice and husband Alex Thayer, Corey and wife Sarah Berger, Angel Defoe, Kaitlin and Erin Hamilton; great-grandchildren; Britney and Bailee Berger, and Trinity and Megan Defoe; sister, Patricia Gray and husband Dean, of Albany, N.Y.; and brother, Michael Hamilton and wife Barbara, of Albany, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph J Hamilton and Catherine (O’Connor) Hamilton, and his three brothers, John, Joseph and Gerald Hamilton, all of Schenectady, N.Y.  

A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Wednesday at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow at Holy Family Parish Hall.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
