Today, the Lord called Janet home to Heaven.
Despite her limitations from Multiple Sclerosis, she had a wonderful zest for life. She loved playing and searching information on the computer, doing crafts, cooking, NASCAR, playing Wii, E-bay and spending time with her family, especially her husband and son. She enjoyed visiting friends and family, going out to dinner, and when able, shopping at Wal-Mart.
Janet was born on Feb. 7, 1962, in Stoneham, Mass., and lived most of her earlier years in Medford, Mass. In April of 1974, her family moved to Lake Havasu City, where Janet attended Junior High and High School. She graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 1981. She met her husband at a friend’s wedding and they married on April 9, 1983. Their only son Mathew (the light of Janet’s life) was born Oct. 8, 1987. After graduation, Janet worked as a waitress in various Lake Havasu City restaurants for approximately 15 years before her illness forced her to stay at home.
Janet leaves behind the love of her life, her soul mate and best friend, Bob Williams; her beloved son, Mathew; her precious yorky/shitsu, Penny; her parents, Ed and Betty Donahue; brothers, Ed Donahue (Debbie), Tom Donahue (Tracy), Daniel Donahue (Phyllis); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Trudy and Ludger Stemich; sisters-in-law, Lori Williams, Monica Querry (Brian), and Sharon Weech (Eric); and brother-in-law, Gary Williams, aunts, uncles, and cousins, 22 nieces and nephews, and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews, plus many dear friends, including her best friend Laura Collins.
She will be greatly missed by all for her sweet and caring personality, her amazing sense of humor and wit, and her beauty, both inside and out.
A memorial service and a celebration of Janet’s life will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2170 Havasupai Blvd., Feb. 27, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Janet’s name to be made to Multiple Sclerosis National Research Institute, 3550 General Atomics Court, Suite 2-129, San Diego, CA 92121.
Condolences and thoughts can be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com or to Bob Williams, 2990 Dogwood Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
