Madeline McElrone passed away March 4, in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 83. She was born to Raymond and Louise (Biebl) Matern on July 23, 1926, in Chicago, Ill.

Madeline made Lake Havasu City her home 30 years ago from Klamath, Calif. She belonged to the Catholic Church. She had a wonderful sense of humor; was a loving mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Robert McElrone; brother, Charles Matern; and sister, Barbara Clawson.

A visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Father Chauncey Winkler will offer words of comfort and inspiration. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens and a reception will be held at Bonnie Story’s home.
