A branch of Arizona State University could open here in the fall of 2011, if an upcoming agreement is signed and if a study of the area concludes that the campus would be supported here, according to an ASU press release.
The agreement would prompt a 45-study of the area — including utilizing the planned vacancy of Daytona Middle School — to determine if ASU’s expansion here would be feasible.
The Foundation has worked since 2004 to bring a four-year university here. Currently, Mohave Community College has one if its four branches here, along with an extended campus of Northern Arizona University.
Please read Today’s News-Herald Thursday to learn more about the agreement.
