Jimmie Paul Hopson

Jimmie Paul Hopson passed away March 9, in Lake Havasu City. He was born April 24, 1937, in Waurika, Okla., to Vesta Houston and James Arthur Hopson. He married Vickie Lea Hopson in Lancaster, Calif., in 1959.



Jimmie was employed by Hunt Wesson Foods in Fullerton, Calif., for 36 years. Upon retirement, he took up woodcarving as a hobby and excelled at his craft. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to carving events where they could spend time with other carving friends learning, sharing and passing woodcarving skills on to others.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Hopson; sisters, Fern and Bonnie; son, Stirling (Cindy) Hopson; daughter, Ellen (Juan) Martinez; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services were March 11, at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Lan Blair officiating.
