ARRL Field Day is the single most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. Each year over 35,000 amateurs gather with their clubs, friends or simply by themselves to operate.

Local Amateur radio operators will test their emergency communications capabilities with amateur radio clubs across the nation the weekend of June 26 & 27, 2010.

Field day is the culmination of National Amateur Radio Week, known as the Nationwide Emergency Communications Drill, is intended to give the public a glimpse of the services amateur radio operators provide and a chance to meet the operators themselves.

The London Bridge Amateur Radio Association will conduct Field Day at Partners Point on Sweetwater Avenue in Lake Havasu City on this weekend. All amateur radio operators and the public are invited to come and see what amateur radio is all about. You can learn about emergency communications and even “Get on the Air” with experienced local amateur radio operators.

For more information, contact Jerry France, Club President at 928-855-7941.

We hope to see you there!
