LAKE HAVASU CITY — The Tigers are sending two teams to the playoffs.

The Arizona Charter Athletic Association announced Friday the brackets for the baseball and softball playoffs.

The Telesis baseball team (10-2) enters the playoffs seeded No. 2 in the 2A Division and will face No. 7 Surprise Arizona Charter Academy (3-7) when the playoffs begin Monday, in Mesa.

Bullhead City Mohave Accelerated Learning Center (11-2) is the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, thanks to two ties with Telesis that go as wins for MALC. MALC’s opponent was not announced.

The Lady Tigers’ win in the regular season finale was enough to get them into the playoffs at a No. 8 seed. Telesis (3-7) will face No. 1 seed MLAC (11-0), with the opening round playoff game listed on the CAA website to be played in Peoria, Monday.

However, the athletic directors of both Telesis and MALC successfully petitioned the CAA to allow the game to be played in Bullhead City, to save on travel costs and allow local fans of both teams to attend. The game was also moved to Tuesday, at 4 p.m.
