The Lady Broncs started to pull away in the second quarter. By halftime, they had built up a 31-23 lead. The two teams played evenly in the third quarter, as the Lady Broncs had problems making their shots. The Parker girls expanded their lead slightly to 42-33 at the end of three quarters.

Parker really began to pull away in the fourth quarter, as the Lady Broncs made more of their shots and kept control of the ball. They outscored the Lady Warriors, 17-12, to make the final Parker 59, San Pasqual 45.

The Lady Warriors’ Gina Rivera led all scorers with 17 points. Tatiana Damon scored 10, which included making six of six free throws. Ceara Ingraham scored 9.

Syndey Harper was Parker’s top scorer with 15 points. That included making three three-pointers. Rosalyn Carlyle had 9, Magical Bement scored 7, and Brie Miller added 6.

Parker Coach Kevin Voit said it was great to get a win, considering it was not simply the final home game of the season, but also Parents’ Night and Senior Night.

“I was pleased with the offense,” he said. “We still need to work on defense.”

The Lady Broncs are now 13-11 overall and 9-8 in Arizona Interscholastic Association power point games. Voit emphasized the season isn’t over yet, as the Lady Broncs still have one more game to go. That will be the regular-season finale at 5:30 p.m. Friday against the Antelope Rams in Wellton, Ariz.

“We want to win that one and go to the playoffs,” he said.
