Harold "Hal" Lewis Lutman, 84, passed away peacefully Friday, February 03, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He was born in Edmunds, N.D. to Menthon and Mattye J. Lutman on June 01, 1927.
Pops became an awesome brick mason and passed along his skill of the trade to his two sons, Mark and Brad. He built some beautiful fireplaces, where we know many families have enjoyed sitting comfortably in their homes with their families around the fire. When he wasn't working or at the Mill Inn, Pops would tool around in his back yard, barbecuing and sipping a cold beer in his garage, where he built his own boat and proudly named it "Lisa" after his first-born daughter, who lives on the Big Island, Hawaii.
Throughout the years he met many friends, including his dear friend, Barbara, moving to Layton, Utah where he spent a lot of time with her and her family, and he especially became very close to Betty and Sid. Pops finally ended up in Lake Havasu City where his daughter, Nanci (Ed) lives. He spent many good times on the lake, fishing and camping and enjoyed lots of knee slapping. Nanci and Ed are so lucky to have had her Dad as her friend and neighbor the last 11 years enjoying all the great times with Pops. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks and the American Legion.
Pops' daughter, Robyn, and her husband, Ted, moved to Lake Havasu City where they enjoyed many mornings together, and she especially enjoyed making French toast for her dad, which is one of his favorite meals. Pops always enjoyed a good cocktail and spent many afternoons visiting his friends at the Moose Lodge where he was liked by all. He was a great friend, husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa and will be greatly and deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Mark, Lisa, Nanci (Ed), Robyn (Ted), Brad (Kim) and Betty; 10 grandchildren, Sandy (Sandie), Kapono, Katie (Louie), Jesse, Eli, Trish, Krista (Krista), Kelly, Bradley and Blake; 11 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Dylan, Kainoa, Makoa, Isabel, Olivia, Christian, Zayden, Dylan, Dominic and Anthony; 2 daughters-in-law, Ann Johnson and Kim; and his numerous nieces and nephews, too many to mention. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, who recently passed, his parents and his six siblings.
Services are pending.
