The Mohave County College Small Business Development Center has teamed with the county’s economic development department to offer scholarships to small businesses to attend the Profit Mastery/Creating Value and Building Wealth seminar that is 8 to noon May 1, 8, 15 and 22.

The scholarship application deadline is April 10.

The classes will take place in different cities in Mohave County including Bullhead City, Kingman, and Lake Havasu City on a weekly rotation. Participants in communities not in the city that week can view the course via satellite at the nearest MCC campus, said Bennet Bratley, of Mohave County.

The internationally acclaimed entrepreneurs/small business seminar is designed to improve business practices and increase business profits by helping leaders of small businesses grow their skills, networks and companies.

Eligibility includes the business must be located in Mohave County, have completed one year of business, and commit to attending all four sessions of the seminar. Additionally, the participating businesses must agree to become a Small Business Development Center client after the training is completed, which includes ongoing assistance from the SBDC.

Scholarships cover the $350 course fee. Transportation and meals aren’t included.
