Mohave County’s Kingman library reopens Thursday after an indefinite closure caused by flooding Jan. 15.

The flooding occurred after a fire protection sprinkler head malfunctioned, damaging carpet, drywall, ceiling tiles and some library materials. Emergency repairs cost the county about $98,000.

The library’s Gordon Annex, which was opened to provide service during renovation closed Friday.

The main Kingman library is at 3269 North Burbank Street, in Kingman. Hours of operation are Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
