Illegal immigrant 27-year-old Erubia Moreno escaped from the custody of U.S. Border Patrol early Thursday when the agency’s transport vehicle slowed at the intersection of State Route 95 and Swanson Ave.

Lake Havasu City Police Department said it is unknown how Moreno disengaged the locking mechanism of the vehicle to escape. A search was conducted in that area but to no avail.

Moreno recently was contacted by Border Patrol during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 and determined to be an illegal immigrant. During arrest, a fight ensued and Moreno suffered minor cuts to his arms and knees. In the end, Moreno was successfully restrained.

Moreno last was seen wearing pants (color unknown) and a red shirt. He is described as having three rows, or strips, shaved into his full beard. Moreno was travelling from Austin, Texas, to California when he was stopped by Border Patrol.

At this time, there is no information suggesting Moreno poses a threat to citizens but he is wanted by Border Patrol. Any information pertaining to the whereabouts of Moreno can be provided by Border Patrol at 760-921-7001, or to the local police at 928-855-1171.

Anonymous tips can be called into Lake Havasu Silent Witness at 928-854-TIPS (8477). Citizens also can utilize the department’s anonymous text messaging tip service by texting LHCPD and your message to CRIMES or 274637. Furthermore, tips can be anonymously submitted online at www.tipsoft.com or via the “TipSubmit” mobile application of iPhone- and Android-type smart phones.

To "alsview", why don't you let him hang out at your home since he's such a nice misunderstood law abiding ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT.
You're view of this ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT is amazing.

Yeah I will say again he’s probably dangerous. Only a desperate and dangerous person would fight with armed federal officers. Anyone with that mindset has no hesitation to take on unarmed, untrained civilians. There was a fella named Jim Dykes. All he ever did was scare people with guns and threats. He was found to be very dangerous after he killed a man and kidnapped a child. All Dykes had to do was go to court, go home, pay fines and be on probation. All this illegal had to do was go home and sneak back over the border. Both dangerously escalated the situation for unknown reasons. They both are men and human. One doesn’t become less or more dangerous due to his race. That’s the extremes of political correctness lunatics. Sorry, I used a PC banned word “lunatic” there.

"Escaped illegal alien!" You make this unfortunate man sound like a mass murderer escaped from Supermax. "Police seek help with apprehending dangerous escapee!" Isn't that the Border Patrol's job? These kinds of characterizations just add to the institutional bigotry practiced in this state. Exactly what immediate danger is posed by a man who simply wants to blend into the tableau and remain hidden? Has our hatred truly risen to the level that we issue an all points bulletin for a simple case of undocumentation? What is the urgency except that the thought of an undocumented person evading the system simply rankles the dominant Anglo population to distraction? Can't you just feel the hatred?

But seriously folks, a guy with skills like this is very resourceful and probably dangerous. He’s more than likely had “on the job training,” with a cartel or other criminal enterprise. I assure you, unless the authorities handle him with extreme caution when he’s captured, he’ll escape again.

Those racists shouldn't hassle the poor illegal alien. I’m sure he’s just here doing the jobs Americans won’t do. What’s a little assault on federal officers and escape from custody? With his lock picking skills, I’m sure someone could give him a Locksmith apprenticeship, or maybe he could install house security systems.
