Lake Havasu Lighthouse Club is set to dedicate two more lighthouses to it collection of 23 navigational lights on the Lake. The new lighthouses are replicas of the Navy Pier Lighthouse in Chicago Harbor and the Grays Harbor Lighthouse in Westport, Wash. Both were constructed by club volunteers.
With the replicas both inaccessible to the public, the dedication ceremony is at 1 p.m. at the club’s kiosk lighthouse in Bridgewater Channel, near Lions Dog Park, on the Island. Ribbon-cutting is set for 2 p.m.
The Navy Pier Lighthouse replica construction was sponsored by Ginger Sundin and is a memorial to Norma Sundin.
The Grays Harbor Lighthouse replica construction was sponsored by Jerry and Ruth Wright and is a memorial to Lisa Jean Reimer.
The ceremony is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
