Update: The Mohave County Sheriff's Department says it has found the body of a 17-year-old who went missing in Thompson Bay on Wednesday. The sheriff's department identified the victim as Adam Gomez, 17, of Redondo Beach, California. He was found just south of Thompson Bay in approximately 23 feet of water, the sheriff's department said.

The case remains under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff's Department's division of boating safety.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies are working with the Lake Havasu City Police Department as they continue their search for a boater who’s been missing for three days.

The search continued Friday morning with Sheriff’s patrol boats on the water of Thompson Bay, between Body Beach and the Lake Havasu Marina. It was there that a boater disappeared beneath the waves earlier this week after being struck by a moving watercraft after diving into the water.

Professional divers and sonar has been employed in the search for the victim, as yet identified only as a 17-year-old California resident. According to previous statements from Mohave County Boating Safety Division officials, overgrowth of underwater vegetation has made search teams’ task difficult, but their search for the victim will remain ongoing until he is found.
