The Soroptimist International Club of Lake Havasu City has existed for 48 years, and for 47 of those years the Annual House & Garden Tour has been a major fundraiser for the club. This year’s tour is Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 4 p.m. and a “Taste of Havasu” will be offered at the home of Andy & Nikki Ballentine with Mudshark Brewery donating refreshments by Chef Ben Groger. As a part of the tour, a food drive will benefit the Havasu Community Health Foundation’s food bank. Bring non-perishable food items to any of the homes and be entered into a raffle for an exciting item donated by Michael Alan Furnishings.

Lake Havasu High School’s S-Club will assist Soroptimist members at each of the homes, where visitors can home some goodies from the club’s bake sale at the Dawson home at 2670 Plaza Hermosa.

Starting at 4:30 p.m., at the Ballentine home at 6001 Circula de Hacienda, the club will draw the winner for its $1,000 raffle, along with many gift baskets and gift certificates. The winners of the poker run and food drive raffle will also be announced. The winner of a separate raffle for a Christmas quilt wall hanging, crafted and donated by Linda Visnau, will also be announced at that time.

Tour Book tickets are on sale for $25 and are available at Desert Rose, Expressions Lighting and Home Décor, Horizon Community Bank, Mail Business Center on Smoketree in the Albertson’s Shopping Center, Michael Alan Furnishings, Mohave State Bank (McCulloch Branch) or from any Soroptimist member.

Tickets will be available at any of the homes on tour day for $30.
