TODAY’S NEWS-HERALD

A decomposing body was found in the Pima Wash in the vicinity of McCulloch Boulevard, and no foul play is suspected, said Sgt. Troy Stirling of the Lake Havasu Police Department.

Stirling said the body had been decomposing for a couple weeks and police were unable to identify the body. However, based on the man’s clothing, police believe it could be a transient who is known to sleep in the Pima Wash.

Stirling said the county medical examiner will work to identify the body and confirm details concerning the man’s death.

Stirling added that employees of Edgardo’s Jewelers had complained of the body’s smell.

This makes number 2 in that area in less than a year, the other one was just above this one near the church in the middle of the wash, if I remember some kids found that one

Wow! A decomposing body right in the center of downtown. I never thought something like that could happen in that area.
