Arizona Game and Fish officials detained a California man Saturday afternoon at Windsor Beach, where he was allegedly seen smoking marijuana in his vehicle. Police were called to the scene, where they questioned Long Beach resident Pedro Davalos, 23.

According to police, Davalos admitted to smoking marijuana in his vehicle, and allegedly explained that he and a companion in his vehicle had forgotten that recreational marijuana was not legal in Arizona. Also in his possession was a marijuana grinder, police say.

Davalos was cited on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in Lake Havasu City Municipal Court at 9 a.m. July 30.

Perhaps Havasu should follow Needles example and become a Marijuana Sanctuary City to protect our tourists.

Stupid is as stupid does as Forrest Gump would say. Pay attention to where you are on the lake [that invisible line] or on the shore if you are going to smoke. I think it is pretty clear that Lake Havasu City is not in CA.
