San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Needles location Wednesday afternoon, where a $45,000 tractor was reported stolen. Security footage at the scene showed a man later identified as 50-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Richard Layman, who allegedly entered the property and drove away with the tractor Tuesday evening.

The Fort Mohave Tribal Police Department aided San Bernardino County deputies in identifying Layman as their suspect, the report said.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information in the case can contact 760-326-9200. Tips can also be given anonymously at 1-800-782-7463, or at www.wetip.com.
