Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Kingman residence last Thursday after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they found a woman, and a man identified as Justin E. Decker, 21.
According to alleged witness statements, the two engaged in a loud argument prior to deputies’ arrival. The woman, who was not identified, allegedly told deputies she had been struck by decker with a broken wooden chair several days prior to the incident. Decker was detained at the scene, and deputies say a search of his pockets yielded a syringe and a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
Decker was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
