A man from Bakersfield, California was arrested in Lake Havasu City on Aug. 20 when drugs and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in his vehicle after officers made contact following a report of a suspicious person rummaging through two vehicles for approximately 45 minutes.

An officer responded to the scene and made contact with Cameron Burke, 32. Burke allegedly told the officer that he drives his girlfriend’s car, but stores his possessions in the truck. Burke’s story was confirmed by dispatch, but during the encounter officers allegedly observed a syringe that was plainly visible in the seat.

Burke was placed under arrest, and the officers allegedly also found a bag containing was later determined to be methamphetamine, another syringe that was later determined to contain heroin, and a little bit of marijuana. Officers also allegedly located an unidentified brown powder that was sent to the lab for further identification.

Burke was charged with possession and use of a narcotic drug, possession and use of a dangerous drug, and possession and use of drug paraphernalia.
