Lake Havasu City Police officers were called to a McCulloch Boulevard hotel Sept. 7 after receiving reports of an alleged assault. According to the police report, the male victim was at the location that evening when a man later identified as Shaun H. Hoblitzell, 34, of Kingman, approached him. Hoblitzell allegedly struck the victim’s face, and then fled through a nearby golf course. According to statements allegedly made by the victim, he’d never met Hoblitzell, nor was there any provocation for the attack.

Police found Hoblitzell, who was wearing only a pair of dark boxer shorts, nearby. Officers brought Hoblitzell back to the hotel, where the victim allegedly identified Hoblitzell as his attacker. Hoblitzell was arrested at the scene on misdemeanor charges of assault and disorderly conduct.
