Lake Havasu City Police officers were called to a Sandwood Drive address Sept. 19 after receiving reports of a domestic violence incident in progress. When officers arrived, they found 61-year-old Havasu resident Charles M. Machinsky at the scene.

According to the report, Machinsky said his wife had been drinking alcohol, and the two engaged in an argument. Machinsky left the residence and slept in the parking lot outside their home, according to officers, before attempting to return inside the home through a window.

Machinsky’s wife had an order of protection against him more than a year old, despite the fact that the couple were still living together, the report said. Machinsky allegedly told police he believed that the order had expired.

Machinsky was arrested on charges of failure to comply with a court order, and transported to Lake Havasu City Jail without incident.
