Lake Havasu City Police officers were called to Havasu Regional Medical Center Sept. 5 after receiving reports of a woman who allegedly attempted to gain entry into a vehicle parked at the location. Police say April M. Jones, 36, was seen attempting to enter the vehicle of a hospital worker, and was photographed in the attempt. Police contacted Jones, who allegedly admitted to attempting to enter the vehicle. Jones was arrested at the scene on charges of criminal trespassing.
On Sept. 6, Jones was arrested again at a Kiowa Boulevard location on charges of shoplifting, after she was reported to have entered a business and left with a bottle of soda she allegedly didn’t pay for. Jones was allegedly seen attempting to break into a jeep at the location before police were called. According to the report, Jones appeared to have been under the influence of an unknown substance when officers attempted to question her. Jones was arrested on charges of shoplifting and disorderly conduct.
