San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies waited outside of a Needles restaurant Tuesday afternoon, where two allegedly stolen vehicles were found. The deputies weren’t waiting for clowns to come out – that’s a different restaurant.

According to the report, San Bernardino deputies received information leading them to an allegedly stolen white Jeep in the parking lot of a Needles Jack in the Box location. As deputies watched, two suspects exited the restaurant and approached the vehicle. The pair was later identified as Rene M. Rosales, 31, of Mexico; and Ana G. Alvarez, 31, of Brawley, California.

Deputies allegedly saw Alvarez enter the white Jeep, in which three children were waiting. Rosales entered a black Jeep parked next to Alvarez, which deputies say was also identified as stolen.

Alvarez and Rosales were arrested at the scene and transported to Needles Jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle. The three children were taken into custody by the San Bernardino County Department of Child and Family Services at the time of the arrest.
