A Lake Havasu City woman was arrested and charged with a felony and a misdemeanor on Aug. 28 after allegedly attempting to purchase an order at Taco Bell with a forged $100 bill.

Kierre Kelley, 31, was arrested on a felony charge of forgery, as well as theft obtained by misrepresentation, a misdemeanor.

Officers were called to the Taco Bell on Lake Havasu Avenue after employees reported that someone attempted to pay for their meal with a $100 bill that was, “obviously fake.” According to the police report the bill was not the correct size, the markings were wrong, and it had red lettering.

Kelley allegedly told officers that she was given the $100 bill by a friend who owed her money. The police report states that Kelley told the officer that she had not noticed that the bill was fake.
