A Lake Havasu City woman was arrested for disorderly conduct on Aug. 22, but ended up adding two felonies to her charges after allegedly grabbing an officer’s wrist and later attempting to bite the officer during the arrest.
Machaela Tamboe, 41, ended up being charged with resisting arrest using physical force, and aggravated assault against an officer following the alleged altercation.
According to the police report, officers responded to a call about a female subject passed out in a back ally near Maricopa Avenue. When officers made contact, Tamboe allegedly appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was yelling, cursing, and calling officers names throughout the encounter.
Tamboe allegedly refused to comply with an officer’s order to sit down and responded, “I will” when asked if she wanted to be placed in handcuffs.
An officer attempted to take away Tamboe’s purse to place on the ground when she allegedly swiped her left arm at the officer and ended up grabbing his wrist.
After being placed in handcuffs, Tamboe allegedly attempted to bite the wrist of the officer who was in the process of helping Tamboe to the ground.
