Paul Edge

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Lake Havasu City residence last month after receiving reports of a disturbance.

According to the sheriff’s office, initial reports on Oct. 20 indicated that 56-year-old Paul Edge went to a neighbor’s residence and kicked a hole in his fence while shouting. Responding deputies approached Edge’s home, where he was allegedly heard yelling within.

When deputies attempted to speak with Edge, the report says he was agitated and confrontational. A deputy allegedly placed a hand against Edge’s chest to create distance between them, at which point the report says Edge knocked the deputy’s hand away. Edge allegedly approached the deputy with his fists clenched, before shoving the deputy with both hands.

According to the report, the deputy used an electronic stun device to knock Edge to the ground. The deputy then attempted to detain Edge, who allegedly attempted to kick the deputy. The deputy used his electronic stun device again, subduing Edge.

Edge was transported to Mohave County Jail on charges of aggravated assault against an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Too old for this

The "Edison medicine"is a good substitute for deadly force. I wonder what drug altered his behavior that way.
