Crews transfer an injured patient onto a stretcher following a boating accident on Friday.

Police are investigating a boating accident that occurred on the Colorado River on Friday afternoon that left three injured.

A boat traveling north on the Colorado River struck a sandbar at approximately 20-24 mph, Lake Havasu City Police said. All occupants of the boat were wearing personal floatation devices at the time of the accident.

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident and provided medical help at the scene. The victims were towed into Windsor Beach and two were transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
