This month, sites in the Lake Havasu City area will be among 5,000 U.S. drop-off locations collecting shoebox gifts for children overseas during Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week, Nov. 18-25.

Lake Havasu City families, churches and groups are busy transforming empty shoeboxes into fun gifts filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items. The Samaritan’s Purse project partners with local churches to deliver the boxes to children around the world. The Havasu drop-off location is at KNLB Christian Radio, 510 Acoma Blvd. Donations may be delievered on Nov. 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Nov. 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Nov. 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 24 from 1 to 5 p.m., and Nov. 25 from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
