Lake Havasu City resident June Merritt waves to passersby Friday morning on Acoma Boulevard, dressed as an angel in an effort to inspire hope in her community. “I’ve been out here for a couple of weeks now,” Merritt said. “I’ll be here up until the election. I want to encourage people to not be afraid. There’s no need to have all of this fear, or be this upset. Trust in the Lord.”
