Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying the victim of a drowning in Lake Havasu last weekend.
The victim was transported to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office earlier this week after he was found Saturday morning, floating face down in the water at a boat rental business in the area of Thompson Bay. An autopsy of the victim was concluded Wednesday, but his identity has yet to be determined.
The victim is described as an Asian male, 66 to 70 inches tall, and about 200 pounds. Deputies initially estimated his age to be 40 to 50 years, but now say he may have been between 50 and 60 years of age at the time of his death.
Deputies say the victim was fully clothed at the time of his death, and was wearing a blue George brand polo shirt, a green undershirt, blue Wrangler jeans (size 40x30) with a green belt and blue Athletic Works tennis shoes (size 10.5). It has also been discovered that the victim wore dentures, deputies say.
The victim possessed no personal property when he was recovered from the water.
Anyone who has information about the victim’s identity or any information in the case is asked to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753, or call the office’s toll-free number at 1-800-522-4312.
